Grado TRES!

Grade THREE!
How can it be?!
Andrew loves school.
He is generally happy to be there, has always liked his Teachers (so far) and we are so grateful he rarely complains about the privilege of going to school.

This week he started at a new campus, Glenmeadows.  Finally, all the Spanish students are on one campus sharing so many common and exciting traditions, new and old.
We are really happy this time has arrived, a lot of hard work went into this tradition from families and staff.

GRADO TRES!
GRACIAS!!!

Studio lighting....

.... oh the time and energy it takes to understand and master.
Both of which I seem to lack most days.

I am a Natural Light Photographer.  I rarely use studio lighting, to be totally honest, there is a reason for that.
Natural light creates endless ambiances...  I like that, every session is different.
With that said, not all Clients share that love.

So when my 4 year old offers to help, I JUMP!!

THE BIG CHOP! Angel Hair for Kids.

WELCOME FEBRUARY!

I've been growing my hair for 3 years and today I shared 2 feet of untouched locks.
2 feet.
4 ponytails.

My wish was simples.  Please pass it along to a child to feel confident and special.
There are many places to donate hair, however they are not all equal with their mission.  My wish has always been for my hair to go to children in Canada.  I am thrilled to say I found the perfect association....
Angel Hair for Kids provides wigs and hair loss solutions for children in Canada at no cost to their family.

Did you know it takes nearly 10-12 donated ponytails PLUS $1000 for one child to receive a wig?

Thank you to Vanessa, my hairdresser of a bazillion years, for donating this cut, her time, and her big kind heart.  I am donating her fee to the Alberta Children's Hospital  where my own Daughter has spent countless hours for Asthma.

And thank you to my Mom who held my hand during the cut, shared her brave heart and encouraged me not to cancel and the reminders that my hair will grow back and wasn't I so blessed to be able to share it.

I donate my hair on behalf of a few special Angels, my Aunt Yvonne, Diamond, and Dom.  You changed my life.

I hope my simple post inspires you to donate something small and kind, today, tomorrow, or even 3 years from now.

Happy February.
